Contact a local recruiter for either the United States Army, Navy or Air Force
- Learn about current programs, eligibility, commitment, and application process
- Discuss vacancies as well as required tests, exams, and documentation

Meet basic entrance requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- A graduate of an accredited dental school
- Provide proof of license to practice in home state
- Fall between minimum and maximum age requirements (may vary for each military branch)
- Be in good physical condition and pass a full medical examination
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Be willing to serve a minimum of three years in active duty (may vary for each military branch)
Gather enough information to make an informed decision if and when you receive acceptance
- What is the length of the agreement?
- What are the terms and conditions of the agreement?
- What compensation and benefits are included?
- Where is the assignment located?
- Other considerations include: advancement process, on-base housing, family support, etc.
